What to do in Nottingham?

Welcome back beautiful people! Don’t know if you noticed it but I’ve been absent for quite a long time! Been caught up with work and even tho I’ve been travelling too, I did not have the will nor energy to start blogging again.. sigh.. I hope you had the chance to visit other countries, although if you didn’t, how does a Bali vacation sound? Good enough? Stop delaying your dream vacations and take your girlfriend, wife or your best friend with you because you won’t regret it! U ready?

JUBILEE CAMPUS AND UNIVERSITY PARK

Separated by a few kilometers, Jubilee and University Park are the main campuses of the university. So similar and yet so different. Both share green lawns meadows , a lake and lots of geese and ducks; however, its buildings are completely different. While Jubilee is more recent and therefore has more modern and advanced buildings, Uni Park has that charm that only the majesty of ancient buildings can give.

Opened in 1999 by Her Majesty the Queen, Jubilee has been awarded many prizes for sustainability because it is an example of the regeneration of brownfield sites and has impeccable green credentials. Meanwhile, University Park is part of the University of Nottingham since 1929 and is one of the largest and most attractive campuses across the UK with over 300 acre.

OLD MARKET SQUARE

Located in Nottingham city centre, Old Market Square is the main square of the metropolis as well as the meeting point for all its inhabitants. It is considered one of the largest squares in England with an area of 22,000 square meters. Depending on the time of year, the square is adorned with different themes and motifs. So you can enjoy a picturesque Christmas market in winter and an artificial beach during summer. I think that you already know what to do in Nottingham, but I will tell you a bit more.

In addition to being the heart of the city, around it there are many shops and pubs where you can spend a pleasant afternoon. Pubs as Ye old trip to Jerusalem, England’s oldest bar and dating back to 1189.

WOLLATON HALL

Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house whose construction began in 1580 and ended in 1588. Located in the park with the same name is home to the Museum of Natural History in Nottingham. Around its endless fields and meadows you can find a lake and lots of deer and squirrels as well as a golf course. However, the mansion is known for being home to one of the best super heroes of history, BATMAN. And is that, Wollaton Hall appeared in the film directed by Christopher Nolan and starred by Christian Bale, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
